I've read here, and elsewhere, the K&N air filter allows more small particles to pass through than OEM filter. Would the same hold true for the K&N cabin filter?

I have never used a K&N filter. But I did just replace my engine and cabin air filters with Fram, which are supposed to meet or exceed OEM specs. I've been happy with them.

Theres a youtube guy called Project farm that tests everything and he did cabin filters. One filter that I have used for years including oil filters is wix and it performed great

I've used OEM, Wix and Fram with good results over the years.

Avoid the Hengst cabin filter on Rockauto.com, it is supposed to offer the best protection. It will kill the air flow, putting a strain on your blower motor, and leave a film on your windshield.

OEM are fine don't fall for the hype. What you are looking for is the efficiency rating or Beta efficiency number. Available with some research or contacting the manufacturer. Betting K&N won't show that. Probably for a reason.
