I can then walk it up using the cruise button 1mph at a time and it will stay in 8th even on most minor hills (I75 south from Mackinaw has some minor hills). Keeps the RPMs sub 2k and I was getting 30mpg. So yeah, it’s not the computer saying it’s the best gear for fuel economy, it obviously will stay in 8th. It’s the entry conditions that are a mess. GM screwed the pooch on this one in my opinion and should rectify it.</p></blockquote><p></p>
