Ok. Good to know. Thanks for connecting since you’re in Sac. I appreciate the reference on the shop. I’ll definitely be hanging onto it for a few months since I need something to drive back and forth to San Diego. I will also be sure to Maintain the 3k oil change. I had started that on my pathfinder as soon as I read about the carbon buildup and sludge issues.
Nope, same issues. It's not a bad engine if you know how to baby it from the jump. Good oil, 3-4k miles between changes. It's when you go by the oil service message that you have problems. 7.5-8k miles. If it's in good shape and you got it for free, it may be worth the $3-4,000 to do the timing chain set at 100-120k miles. It'll be good for at least another 100k miles.

The beauty is...a 2010 looks like a 2017. They've aged well.

Talk to Pedro at Speed Machine in Rancho Cordova. Let him know Sean sent you to him.
I wonder if they can do work on old small block Chevy‘s as well. If you think they’re a trustworthy shop. I’ve got a pre-small small block that may need heads and.Cam
