For stop start to work a long list of conditions must be met, battery voltage, engine temperature, accessories in use or not in use, ambient air temp, and on and on. A list of over a dozen conditions need to be met for it to operate and there is even a longer list of conditions that will defeat it. The only way to find out what is going on is a complete system scan, NOT the free one that auto parts stores offer. They just want to use fault codes as a parts list to sell you stuff.
