with the coils on these cars you cant do that. they have pigtail or ends that spiral into a small. having the coils as such makes it to where if you cut them they will not seat correctly and have the possibility of falling out when going over bumps, at least the rear that is.

I have saw some folks just switch the guts of the key over, ie the transponder chip. Also they would pull the guts out of the keyfob and swap em over. I just cant find a switchblade with correct button set up or else I would order one and give it a try.
