Strut clearance

2006 equinox, p235/60/17 is what's on the door, p235/65/17 is what's on it, is this why the strut is so close to the tire? I'm new and accidentally put this same thread in the 2010+ and can't figure out how to delete any info on that?

Is it touching the tire at any time?
