It may start using oil now that you think that's what you smell. When the rings fail, oil is often atomized so efficiently that you will rarely see any blue smoke out of the tailpipe.  My 2012 never smoked, but when it began to use oil, there was a smell. There is no oil level sensor on this vehicle, so when it starts to use oil and the level gets low, you will wear down those cheap plastic guides for the timing chain, and then it will jump time.Good luck!</blockquote>
