If AA is not running, you get the built in NAV when you push the NAV icon. TBH, I almost exclusively use AA for nav as the updated traffic helps get around backups to/from work. I also found that i do not get text alerts on my phone unless i have AA running, then I can respond to texts hands free thru AAAs for the noises, I have all sorts of whirring and stuff under the hood, even just by unlocking the doors. I have not noticed any sound from the rear or my power liftgate. Then again, quite often I open the liftgate as i exit the car to unload things. I will have to listen closer, but like you, I have tuned out all the clicks and whirring etc. I love my Nox!</blockquote>
