Hello everyone, I have a 2019 Equinox Premier 2.0 with the LED taillights/headlights and recently I was at home depot and someone backed into my right rear taillight/turn signal and it cracked. It was raining and the taillight got messed up and started hyper flashing when turning on turn signal, so I went to eBay and I bought a used OEM LED Taillight replacement which looks in pretty good condition to replace the broken one. Once I had installed it was working perfectly and got on the road and the taillight has hyper flashing as if a bulb was out but it isn’t and the led seems to be in excellent condition it just hyper flashes. I went to check on the fuses and the relays but it everything seems to be in good condition. Any guesses as to what it may be? I was guessing since it’s an led does it have to be programmed by the dealer or what could be the issue?

"I went to eBay and I bought a used" could be the crux of the issue. Testing will confirm. Start with pin fitment.

I'm not much for Auto Repair but no matter what, whenever you have an electrical issue always double check your ground first and just because it looks fine don't trust that. Loosen, clean and re tighten.

This is an old thread.

Too bad we never got a follow up. There are several RPO codes for different head/tail lamp configurations for the 2018+ Mixes of incandescent, bi-xenon, LED, etc.. It makes things super confusing IMO. I wish we knew if just the effected tail lamp hyper flashed or was it both. Since the replacement did it as well, I too would have suspected a pinched wire, etc.
