Debbie and I were on our bikes gassing up at Marathon Texas before heading down to Big Bend NP.A friend that we planned to meet in Big Bend pulled into the same station.We followed him south on 185 and 5 or 6 miles after the gas stop he pulled to the shoulder. I asked if he had a problem and he said his tire pressure warning lit up and the pressure was dropping fast.It was about 100 F at the time.We had just past the Border Patrol station so I told him to try and get back to it so we could ask to use their shade to work on the tire.It sure was better to plug the tire and pump it back up in the shade instead of the road shoulder in the heat.It took us a few tried to get the plug to seal.Besides the big canopy for shade we had a work table.
