It's possible my local dealers are less informed but I'm understanding that unless you pay GM to install the 26504756, you aren't going to get your existing installed trailer harness activated. If my suspicions are true, it would make the Tekonsha and CURT harness essentially useless....unless you want to replace your harness after paying GM to install. Hence I'm now planning to splice a powered converter box into the existing rear lights / 12V outlet harness, IMO crazy, but I don't see any other 'DIY' solution. I see at least two videos on splicing into the Equinox EV, so I'm going to start with hoping the wiring colors are similar on the 2025 I4. Curious what others have found?

[QUOTE="Enjin, post: 27425, member: 9096"] With Spring here thought it time to try again. i found eTrailer is catching on from blogs that the XT4 'pigtail' fits 'our' 2025 4 pin vehicle side trailer harness. I believe Tekonsha 118795 and CURT 56427 fits 'ours' besides the XT4, maybe the Lyric. IMO the CURT is very similar to the 'GM OEM' pigtail that's included in the GM hitch HW P/N 26504756 MNSearcher noted earlier today and in the pic Penright shared at the start of this blog. BUT! having spoken with two local dealers and a review on Amazon from 'Bonnie' on the CURT 56427 re XT4, I'm concluding GM is now commercializing the activation (using a diag tool) of the installed trailer harness.
