The blinking D and L in mine seems to suggest to go to the other mode.NOTE:&nbsp; about towing....&nbsp; Most Owner Manuals, including mine, shows how much you can tow.&nbsp; be sure to consider the Maximum weight of: vehicle, AND passengers, AND trailer.&nbsp; My Manual seems to show a conflict between it and the door panel.&nbsp; But, that could be just my interpretation.My suggestion would be: NOT to tow anything that weighs more than a person could pull across or up and down a driveway.&nbsp; The engine and transmission just won't take it.the &quot;Constant Velocity Transmission&quot; is great for assisting with the Theory of saving gas ( I'm happy with my gas Mileage ) but, it won't take shifting to drive without coming to a complete stop first, when backing up. And towing more than you can pick-up and carry.&nbsp;I will promise: When a mechanic or shop looks at the parts, it will be determined that failure was due to driver misuse.&nbsp; Warranty Void! ...... CHA-CHING, CHA-CHING, CHA-CHING, CHA-CHING, and a few more CHA-CHINGS on top of that!But still, I'm pretty happy with My Equinox.</blockquote>
