If it is slow in opening or not opening all the way it will cause this kind of over heat. Also it could be a radiator cap problem that lets coolant out when it should not. I doubt it is the radiator or engine block itself so a flush will not help. A diesel will run a little hotter than a gas engine but not as much as you are stating you have recorded. It should not be getting that hot! Good news is I doubt it has done any damage to the engine.</p></blockquote><p></p>
