I am trying to get to the manual shift gear wire connector, because the manual shift does not work any more. I tried to pulling shifter knob straight up and didn't even budge. I have read on another forum that there is a clip somewhere in the assembly which needs to come out first before pulling...

I did manage to take the plastic off the shifter. However, I did not see a white plastic or the locking pin. Thanks

As long as you have projector housing and in your case you even got the upper curtain, the light shouldn't blind the oncoming traffic. I only have the projector housing and my light beam is perfect. Halogen bulbs are probably found on less expensive models and LEDs on high end models.

Installing LED lights on Halogen housing will blind oncoming traffic. I purchased LED headlight housing on eBay and installed on my 2014 Equinox. I did not do any electrical modification.
