Its coming up for sale at an auction and I'd buy it just for the experience of driving something with those miles for a short time before flipping it. If I got it, would I be able to get around $7500 or more for it?
There is one square hole at the bottom that I aligned with to drill a hole at top. The second hole I had to drill at the top and bottom. If you are a good welder, you could just weld it in without the rods.
Get a 12 inch long 2x3" steel tubing 3/16" thick and some M14 threaded rod. Cut out the rusted mounting point and bolt it in. Weld it in for more strength if you wish. Bolt the subframe to the tubing using the original bolt and an M14 nut inside the tubing.
Like this,
I have this Saturn Vue and the mount is the same part number as the 2005-09 Equinox. The part is no longer available from GM so I have to look in junkyards. Lot more Equinox than Vues to pick one from.
For those that might not be aware, the Vue has a Honda V6 engine and transmission and most of the body panels are a dent resistant rustproof composite material. I have over 100 pictures and a full description on my Ebay listing at: https://www.ebay.com/itm/153019032453 Price is $5,295.
