Hello, I'm hoping someone can help me with this mystery.
It is a 2012 2.4L equinox, it was running smooth while cold and bucking at D on idle when warmed.
I opened it up, the timing chain was loose, bought a new set and started to change it according to the manual.
First mystery, I have this position on 2.4L, when it says it should be for 2.2L:

But position they suggesting for 2.4L making no sense, looking on the camshafts.
I found on this forum that is it okay for LEA engines, and according to the VIN I have that LEA, but why there is no mentioning about it in the manual?

The second mystery is about TDC. The engine should be in TDC position at the 1st cylinder, and it is, but it exhaust TDC on the 1st. Compression TDC is on the 4th.
It was assembled this way before me and I am wondering whether I should rotate both camshafts 180 degrees, so to switch TDC phases on 1th and 4th.
Has anyone came across such issues?
Thank you!
