Intake

Anyone running other than a stock intake filter or whole intake system? I have got a drop in K&N on the Sport and will be fabbing a new intake tube along with ram air into the stock air box. Putting the drop in filter was a night and day difference with the 3.6. I am now looking at a dry flow by AEM. So I think after a few miles on the K&N I will do the switch to see who is better.

I will also be doing a retune with HPTuners after a few mods. I am not looking for the power but more on fuel economy.

Keep us updated on how it goes! I've always put that on standard transmission vehicule because of the need to get a higher RPM to get all the potential and the nice sound of that, I'm a little bit affraid on an automatic vehicule, personally I will always be on the kickdown lol

How are you able to tune it with HPTuners? I didn't think they had the support for these motors/ECM's.

I have a Torrent GXP with the LY7 3.6 with the Bosch E77 ECM and they don't plan on doing anything with the Bosch ECM's anytime soon.

HPTuners does not have support for the ECM

You can go to Vince @ Trifecta if you want tuned though. He is one of the few that has been able to crack most of the GM ECM's, and I know for certain does offer a LY7 3.6 Tune

My buddy that would do the tuning said that he can get the license with HPTuners. I questioned him if he was sure and he said he could since he was a beta tester for them. I guess I should tell him to call em up.
