I’m looking to remove the rear seats from my 2016 Equinox. I travel with my dogs and could use the space to set up my crating better than with them just folding flat. Any ideas? I’ve tried google and didn’t come up with much, and i don’t want to start the process only to not be able to make it work.

Were you ever able to figure it out? If not, you'll need to remove the 2 bolts behind the seats using an impact wrench. The front ones securing the seat to the floor are fairly easily to remove. Word of advice, once the seat is out, you'll need to do something to keep the area level for crates. I made a platform with plywood with wood attached underneath to make it level, then anchored it where the bolts under the seat went in. Anchored the crate into place as well. Gives you a few inches of storage area under the crate too
