I have a 2016 equinox 2.4 w/186k miles that just blew the rear main. Before that it was burning lots of oil.

I found a 2.4 with 36k miles in a 3rd generation 2018 but don't know if that is a doable swap. Anyone know?

I'm thinking about rebuilding this engine myself. What is the best kit to buy that would have all the upgraded parts for a permanent fix?

2018 would have been the 1.5L, 1.6L, or the 2.0.
