Does the mechanic reset your oil indicator after an oil change

Hello everyone, I am new here and have a question about oil change and if they reset it after they are done. Sorry, I don't know all the technical terms.

I had an oil change recently and on the Chevy app it showed it was still low that day. I just got home and the oil change indicator came on and I'm wondering if they just didn't reset it or they didn't even change it. It was at the dealership.

The dealership is pretty good about resetting the OLM for me, but I still double check if it's reset on my way home.

It sounds like your mechanic forgot to do it. If I were you, I would check the oil level and check if the oil on the stick is clean. If so, reset your OLM. If not, march right back to the dealer and ask what is going on.
