change the oil filter location on 2015 equinox?

I'm wondering if anyone had tried changing the oil filter location on their car?

Why if it's so easy to access?

On mine, I need to either remove quite a few components to access the housing, or I have to use multiple bits, which still doesn't give me easy access. I'm in a cold weather state, and trying to do an oil change when it's zero degrees or colder......I want it as easy as possible. Lol.

I use a 32mm oil cap socket/wrench, a universal joint socket and a 15" socket extension and I don't have to remove anything.

I just bought a set of oil cap removal tools on eBay for around $22 or you can buy the individual ones for $10. As was said above, there’s no need to take anything off.

For those who might have trouble reaching your oil filter on the 2.4l ecotec, these tools really help.
