    ECO mode

ECO mode has to do with the TC lock-up, and idle speed (since TC is locked up), with minor changes in shift points. I personally drove it with ECO off because I spent 95% of my time on the highway with cruise on. ECO=+1 mpg according to GM around town IIRC. To me it was not worth that.

    E10 Fuel

99% of the gasoline purchased in the US has up to 10% Ethanol...You pay extra for non-ethanol fuel, which is typically only found near boating communities these days. I run a FF 3.6, I switch between E85 and regular all the time w/o issues or worries, the motors are designed to run on this...

    Intakes for 3.0 V6

Most intakes infact do just this, I've had dyno's done before where the intake actually caused a reduction in HP. They are nice for noise, but typically other restrictions are in place before the intake flow becomes an issue. I do like the sound on a Turbo/Supercharger though :), debating...

    Oil consumption

Agree with everyone else post...Most shops are not putting in the correct amount of oil, prime example was Thursday I had my Impala in gettings its oil change, I see the bill and notice they only charged for standard fill, so I asked the counter guy if they put in the required 6 vs 5, he looked...

    Roundtrip mileage

I know exactly what you mean :) I recently had a tank average of 42mpg (miles/fuel purchased) in a trip. Broke over 550 miles a tank on that one (only have a 14.1gallon tank). Was funny to be stoked about that :)

    Tire/Wheel Changeover

Its a common practice to go down for winter set It will not void your warranty. You will not have any settings that need changed (other than TPMS-tire pressure monitoring system) if you keep similar rolling diameters. Options for Rims 1) Find a set for 17" OEM Rims used (terrain/nox) 2)...

i hope I made the right decision

I agree with the resale value, but that is just about any SUV/CUV these days. And nice...a Vue with the good motor in it! Sure it had issues (after all it was a Honda Motor/Tranny which was the major problem with those setups LOL)...But it was very quick for its class! My sister had a 2004...

    Temptation!!

I will go with this type of MPG @ 75mph :) Top is AVG MPG since start-up (37miles ago as I fueled up) Bottom is Instant MPG Edit: I have not made the 600 club yet, its just a matter of finding the perfect climate (its HOT still here) and a good drive to make it. So far the highest I've gotten...

    Temptation!!

I was not impressed with the 3.0L SRX, it had better gearing, but it was a slug vs the 3.0L Nox. I drove both, but i will state they do have a HUGE difference between them, besides the obvious body panels. I always wanted the Turbo SRX, but it was well out of what I would be willing to pay for a...

    '11 1LT V6 26k Miles: Intermittent Wiper Malfunction?

GM is talking about releasing the Cruze 5-door to the US Market! Its a hope and with the right motor offerings (1.4 Turbo or 2.0L TDI) it has some potential to hit the VW domminance in this field (especially since VW is fighting hpfp issues..and people complained about GM's hpfp issues lol).

    Oil Filter Shootout

It depends honestly... The one thing I want from the oil filters that I use (especially in the cannister type) is metal end caps. Its one of the reasons I've been using Dana/Wix filters for years, slightly more expensive then the "value" lines, but cheaper than factory and typically better...

    People are insane

I think everyone that drives one on the highway has to drive 85+...Could never figure out why get a car designed around fuel economy (its the I hate cars fan club but must drive them), but at the same time, drive it like a bat out of hell, thus ruining any possible gains you would've gotten from...

    People are insane

So in the TDI forums....people are complaining about not getting the advertised EPA ratings of 42mpg on the highway. I just get a kick out of this....Its the manufactures fault, its not the fact I'm driving 79mph down the road and still getting better fuel economy than 95% of the cars on the...
