Ok I may sound like a moron but i recently purchased a new 2014 chevy equinox LT and just the other day I made a quick top at the store to pick a few things up and when I parked and shut my vehicle off I wasn't able to get out of my driver's side door. the keys were out and i tried to unlock the door with my key fob, on the controls on the door and also on the console and nothing would unlock it. I ended up having to get out of my passenger side door. I'm not sure what I did wrong or if there is something wrong with my vehicle? I'm concerned that this may become a problem.

Thats odd, if this continues i would take it into the dealer since you are under warranty.
it's really odd because the only way to get out is to lock and unlock the door a bunch of times and even the lock goes up and down on the door but doesn't open, currently waiting to take it in. is this typical for a new vehicle? or chevy in general?

This would be considered a rare problem for any auto maker.
Take it in, they will get you fixed up!

My new 2013 Terrain's driver door would not open when I went to McDonalds the other day and I had to get my wife to come around and open it for me. I tried everything from shifting the gears back and forth etc , using the remote control and the lock button. Have you heard anything of this.
that's how mine started and then eventually I couldn't get in the driver's side door no matter what I did. they just did a quick fix and replaced the door mechanism. could be a recall who knows. don't feel so proud of my chevy/gmc product anymore.
