Bought this fine vehicle Jan1 05, 20,000 miles needed new tires - they were new when I bought the vehicle. 30,000 miles needed new roters - warped? 35,000 miles needed new wheel bearings on the front. 50,000 miles new tires again + new stabilizer bar bushings - in town driving only??? 75,000 miles new oil pan - ouch. 100,000 miles new driveshaft carrier bearing needs replaced - another ouch. And to top off all of that - all interior paint around window buttons radio heater etc... all has rubbed off - looks like crap.

I am a bowtie guy!!! wish I could have something that is more dependable, using another rental car this week to get that carrier bearing replaced.

wow! you got some bad car. but on the other hand! my brothers crv 2004 100kmiles. 2times gear box rebuild. all 4 shocks replaced with all bearings and i can continue a list of things he did to the car.

i don't think the car is a problem but the way you are driving it and taking care of it.
fore some reason people think that if you driving american car its ok to not change oil or to run flat on dirt road. but when they are getting jap car they wiping dust of it.

Sorry to hear that! My fiance's 05 Nox has 96K miles on it currently. Its a great running car. The only issue i'm having is an on and off misfire on cylinder 4 check engine light and the muffler is rusting from the inside out. But its been a solid running vehicle and with continued TLC i'm sure will continue running like a champ.

I have an Engine code reader. The code comes back on and off. I've replaced plugs, wire and swapped fuel injectors with another cylinder to see if the code follows it did not. When my fiance gets back home from Army Training in June she's going to shell the cash to have it diagnosed.

A comon problem on missfire for GM 3.4 engine are the coil packs. Rust is growing under them and the ground is not made properly. A lot of those engine was repaired with a sand paper!

05 Equinox Had better luck

Bought 05 LT in Sept 05, Now 131,000 miles. Just on 3rd set tires, brake pads ok. had rotors turned a while ago (40,000 mi?) when vibrating. Replace headlamp bulbs more often then I like. Moisture in assembly (common for this year). Also very difficult to do. Have to read and follow manual every time.
Just had new tailgate and bumper replaced (rear end by raised Toyota Tacoma with engine guard driven by 18 YO)
Wife drives it to work, me on road trips. She loves it. AWD and ABS work GREAT in light snow or heavy rain.

Does anyone else get the ghost rear wiper? Magically comes on after opening driver door after few hours being parked. That being said tho add a cold air short ram intake and remove cat and add good magnaglow muffler and she wakes up and rolls out. My girl picked out the dark purple paint but now I love her and have put 3 diff sets rims on this week til she was perfect 07 with only 27,000 miles Ghost wiper and weird deal with the traction control aside I'm the one buying all the good stuff for her now

Sorry to hear about all the problems. I have an 05 LT AWD and other than a stumble at around 120k (head gaskets) have been pleased. I have 160k now and still runs strong. Replaced airbag sensor and fan motor resistor. Everything else has been normal maintenance. Replaced front rotors and pads with advance auto dura last gold at 90k. Rear brakes and drums are still original. Change oil with synthetic according to change oil light (usually around 7k) and normally only needs to add half a quart in between changes.
