I'm setting up a 2024 Equinox to flat tow behind my Motorhome. My question is what wiring system did the DIY folks use. I have incandescent bulbs. I really did not want to cut into the wire harness. This is my last step to finish to tow. My Motorhome has separate brake and turn signal. I am thinking I will need a 5 to 4 diode assembly. I need some ideas please. Thank you.

I had one installed on my 2015 Malibu. It's works great. I also had a Blue Ox base plate installed. I want to use a ReadyBrake system for the brakes but the shop that did the other work claimed they couldn't find a path for the brake cable. Up to now, I've always done all this work myself. I guess I'll be crawling under there again to finish the job. ☹️

Yes, I do all my own work but age is catching up with me so time will tell. Thank You and good luck on your installation.

i set up my 2022 Equinox for flat towing. I used all Roadmaster parts. They have a web site that you type in the year, make & model of car/truck and they tell you what parts you need. Their base plate looks like factory equipment after it is installed. I highly recommend the Roadmaster equipment.

Thank You, I used Blue Ox Brackets because I already had a Blue Ox tow bar. That is interesting on what they use to wire the tail/turn lights.
