I was formerly a GM employee and they heavily encouraged me to buy a GM product. So I bought my wife a new 2017 Equinox LT AWD and she's been driving it ever since. It's been a great vehicle. We are meticulous about keeping up the maintainance and keeping the road salt off the car. It's reliable and comfortable.
Since it was approaching 95K miles, we decided to get her a new car and she chose an Outback Touring. The dealership only offered us 3K trade-in for the Equinox, so we decided to keep it. That will be my daily driver now. I also have a 2000 Jeep Cherokee XJ that I bought new, and a 1994 Toyota Pickup with 260K miles that runs great. I'll probably have to thin the herd. Either the Jeep or the Equinox will get sold, probably after winter driving season is over.
I really like the Equinox. Very comfortable. But it feels like I'm driving a living room compared to my old Cherokee. I'm not sure I can handle all this luxury, I'm not used to it.
Anyway, thanks for allowing me to join the forum. I just thought I should learn whatever I can about the Equinox if I'm going to be driving it.
