Where 2025 equinox is made

All 3 past Equinox cars 2010, 2014 and 2019 made in Canada. No problems.
2025 made in Mexico. PROBLEMS

We all have our opinions on the matter, but IMO, this is a GM problem, not a made in Mexico problem.

I don't believe it's the vehicle assembly location. It's most likely the failing parts and component manufacturing and engineering at fault.

All my GTIs were faultless except for the last one. That was made in Germany vs. MX for the others.

I remember when Jettas were first made in Mexico. A buddy had bought one and, for some reason, we had to pull back the carpet in the trunk.

The floor was littered with beer can pop tops that had been painted over. Yes, it is a Mexican problem. No unions in Meh-HEE-koh...just cheap wages. You get what you pay for.

My 2015 equinox had parts made all over the world including my diesel engine made in Europe and I think the tranny also. No idea where the center display came from nor the "smart" chips and other electronics. Only the electronics have been a great disappointment in the car. It sometimes does not wake up after the start for 2-5 minutes. Sometimes a restart is needed. Irritates me cause I like my tunes!

My 25 Lt just hit 10,000 and it's been great. I had the problem with the Onstar module but that was repaired and since then zero problems. Learning how to operate the computer/radio took some time and effort but I love it now. My 14 Nox was as close to perfection as any car ever was. Let's see where I stand at $15,000.
