Phone Quality with 2015 Equinox and iPhone X

I hav a 2015 Equinox and recently purchased an iPhone X and now the sound quality of phone calls is very staticky and cuts out. I hear static when my caller is talking and callers say I sound fuzzy and the call custs out. I have de-paired my phone with the car, selected “forget this device” on my X, restarted the X and the car, and re-paired the phone, but it is not any better. As soon as I switch the audio of my phone to my EarPods, there are no issues with the caller hearing me. What else can be done to improve the call quality? Thank you.
