2010 Equinox 2.4 Ecotec 120,00 miles
MIL came on and scanned P0016 and P0017 codes, checked and changed oil. No fix, same codes
Replaced intake and exhaust VVT solenoids. No fix, same codes
Found timing chain guide broken so I installed new timing chain kit. No fix, same codes
Replaced crankshaft sensor. No fix, same codes
Removed camshaft phasers disassembled and cleaned. No fix, same codes PLUS P228D

Freeze frame data shows Fuel pressure (Gauge) at 60.5 PSI
Fuel Rail Pressure at 2378 PSI
Code trips at idle.
Any help would be greatly appreciated, what am I missing?

2378# of fuel pressure seems a bit high might be a bad pressure sensor? is it plugged in? or you did not pinch it when putting the cam cover back on?

I don't believe so. The fuel pressure sensor is tucked down under the fuel rail and intake manifold, I wasn't working anywhere near there. What should fuel pressure typically be?

here is what the terrain forum says. so it sounds like that pressure is possible but still may be a bit high. so you may have the rail sensor going bad. but you could talk to these guys ans see what they say. good luck

I'm having same issue. I found that either cam reluctor on rear of cam can spun and throw off computer thinking it's off time. Also 2010 and 2011 have they're own unique timing procedure. Be sure your doing it correctly.

did you get the reluctor fixed? here are some photos of the correct orientation for the exhaust and you can repair them by staking the them to the cam i do have instruction on this site for that for a person that had this issue a few months back but i posted an abridged version here

if you want to try and save the cam here is a good spot to stake it. use a good roll pin maybe 2 and get them just under the surface and then pin punch the top hole to set it a bit over the hole you drilled to keep the pin in the hole. there are YT showing how to stake a roll pin in a hole
