Not giving up OnStar

I haven't had to change a flat tire in 30 years and have only used a bumper jack. Bought a new set of tires and two weeks got a flat in the middle of nowhere. I couldn't get the jack out and I wouldn't have known how to use it anyway. I was able to call the extended warranty company but they couldn't locate me with the minimal information I could give them. They were finally able to find me and sent help. I'm not doing that again and OnStar is the answer. Just to be safe I press the button now and then and ask them if they see me and the Guardian App which is included and can used by 7 family members for free and will show your exact location. Nope I wouldn't leave home without it.

If you're in a vehicle without the OnStar Safety and Security Plan and you have a cell phone, go to Google Maps to get your GPS coordinates.
On a Android phone in Google Maps place your finger for a second on your location and the coordinates will be displayed at the top of the screen. It's probably the same for Iphones.
I use this feature when I want to enter a location that does not have a address in my motorcycle or car GPS.
