If a new vehicle is going to have a problem or problems it will unfortunately show up in the first year. Road testing is fine but until thousands of them get out on the street a lot of problems will just not show up. The Equinox has made this issue worse because the 25 model year was very short so in this case there is a good chance that they will hang around for the 2026 model. My 2014 Nox was as close to trouble as any car ever built. I can't say the same thing about my 2025 but it will get straightened out. I've already talked to OnStar about how they will handle this since I'm paying for the service. They are aware and asked me to call back when it's fixed.
