I have a 2010 and a 2015 equinox. I put the 2010 key in the ‘15 ignition and it’s stuck. It comes half way out. I jiggled and wiggled and googled but nothing is working. Any ideas?

Sounds like the same problem the Chevy Cobalt had. Long story short, a guy working for GM changed the design without telling his colleagues and it eventually failed. Cobalt's had a recall and the engineer fired. You might check for recall, or even hidden recall to see if dealer will replace mechanism. I even had a bit of problems with a 2002 Avalanche but always eventually got the key out.

I just found this, it might be helpful: https://www.fixautousa.com/blog/car-key-stuck-in-ignition/#:~:text=Use your left index finger, your key out of it. I also found this and looks like Equinox not included in ignition recall:
What vehicles are included in the GM ignition switch recall?

Which vehicles are involved? All 2003-2007 Saturn ION, 2005-2010 Chevrolet Cobalt, 2006-2011 Chevrolet HHR, 2007-2010 Pontiac G5, 2006-2010 Pontiac Solstice and 2007-2010 Saturn Sky.

same thing continues to happen with my 07. On my 07, there is small square panel that pops out and gives access undereath the column. There is a button that can be depressed with your thumb to allow the key to be removed without issues. Ill try and find the youtube video for ya
