So, my 06 Equinox managed to wear through 80,000 mile tires in about 65,000 miles and rather than dropping another $600 on replacement tires I found a guy with an 05 Equinox he was parting out and for $200 scored 17" rims and tires with less than 1000 miles on them and thought I'd scored a major win. Then, on my daily commute, the engine throttled back and the traction control light came on- dropped speed by about 20mph and then the light cut out and the throttle was responsive again. This happened a couple more times then I realized that if I disable traction control the problem goes away. Any ideas? I'm almost to 200,000 miles and don't feel like going to the dealership! (I always want to buy a car there and have to outrun the salespeople!)

Read the codes, probably a wheel speed sensor. It will make your traction control light come on

EGR is an easy one. If you have a bad wheel sensor it will set off traction control.

I have an 07 Equinox AWD LT, found that fuel pump assembly was recalled. Had it replaced
