Some of you may know that I have Chron's,
Crohn's disease - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
it's been getting bad and that last 4 months it has got so bad that I have not felt like doing anything.
So my gut doc sent me to his son right before July 4th and he had me get a CT scan to see if they needed to cut some of the Ileum out or if they could start me on Humira.

Well I started Humira today, Doc thinks it will help if it works on me.
Got 4 shots today, Doc did the first one then I did the other 3.
Get to go back in 2 weeks to get 2 more then it will be 1 every 2 weeks.

**** burns a bit going in, but if it will get me off prednisone and get rid of the pain then a little burn is woth it.
Better then having them gut :greenchainsaw: me like the Doc thought he might have to do.
Really glad I do not have to have that done.

I hope it helps, might even feel like posting again.

Thanks.
The dang prednisone helps calm down the Chron's but it makes me so dang  crazy.
Kind of go from wanting to kill everything, to not giving a damn about anything.
Then no beer for 4 months.
Not wanting to eat anything because it hurts and makes other problems happen.
Then going to the other extreme and wanting to eat everything and then really hurting. Pain pills are my friend at times.
Having no energy at all, pain, feeling like crap all the time.
Still a lot of people that have this crap have it a lot worse then I do.

Thanks guys.

I got to say yesterday was a lot better then it's been in a long time.
I always feel like I have a golf ball in my lower right side and yesterday it was not there.
I also was able to crack my back and that felt so good.

It still hurts at times but no where as bad as it has been and the Humira takes a month to really start working.

Got my hair cut.
Get some ne blueJeans, socks and T-shirts
Got my drugs
Washed the Terrain in the rain.
Cooked supper.
Moved some stuff around so I could hook up the Wii so I could do my exercises again.

You should try some P90X or Insanity work outs. A lot of this you can find on Youtube... ah ha

So insurance OK Humira and Wednesday UPS brought me my next batch of meds.
The cooler that the meds came in is just the right size to fit in the back of the Terrain and the ice packs are amassing, they were still frozen when I open the cooler up and it had been on the UPS truck all day, in 110* heat.

So 6 shots cost $7,380.00
They cost me $5.00
Thank goodness for insurance.

Still doing good, I over did it a bit and Doc told me to slow down a bit.
It's so nice to feel normal again and able to do things. :peace:

Better then I was over the last year, still not like I was back before the Chron's started up.
Been working to many hours and it does not look like it will let up anytime soon.
