I have recently purchased a 2025 Equinox and would like to black out the front and rear chevy bowties. I have watched various chevy owners’ YouTube videos on how they blacked out their bowties on other chevy models and some recommend replacing the bowties and other recommend applying plastic dip paint on them. Has anyone had experience removing or painting the bowties on a 2025 Equinox?

I have the 2022, but I'm assuming it's going to be the same as the 2025. The back one is easy to remove because it's adhered to the car with a very strong tape. But the front requires removing components like the grille. It's way more work than it needs to be. Overlaying the gold portion of the bowtie with a decal is really the easiest way. You can find precut vinyl on etsy. You can also buy permanent vinyl sheet roll from Michaels of Hobby Lobby to cut it on your own.

This link is for up to 2024 so don't buy it unless you know they're the same size. I just wanted to show you what it looks like this way: https://www.etsy.com/listing/712680...58952e5164155483c2eef25e5b09e81a9ec:712680739

With a plastic tool it did not take me long to remove the front one on my 2018.
I did see on the Trax forum the 2024 and 2025 Trax Bowties were held in place slightly different than other Chevys.
If Chevy did the same thing with the 2025 Equinox it would be best to not replace the Bowties until someone shows how they are mounted.
