My first Equinox was a 2012 and it was very good in the snow. Then I had a 2018 and 2020, and both were very disappointing in the snow. I now have a 2026, and though I'm now retired, I'm hoping this car will perform better in the snow. Any opinions on how the 2025 performed last winter?

We have a 4wd 2025 RS. IT was good in the snow last ski season with 3 passengers plus driver. Aftermarket crossbars( for ski rack) was tricky but works fine.

It's all about tires. The equinox's AWD system works well, it just needs appropriate tires to work excellent. Standard all seasons are generally terrible winter tires.

I live in northern Wisconsin. No problems in snow at all. I have a RS with all wheel drive.

I grew up in Minnesota. All we had back in the 1980's were all-season tires on RWD cars and trucks. Learn how to drive and slow the F down.

I hear you, but there's no need to be snarky about it. This is a family forum and there's site rules to follow.

In terms of the 1970s and 80s, We seemed to do OK back then with what we had.
