Headlight bulb replacement

Hi I have a 2016 equinox, v6, and I want to upgrade the headlights to a brighter bulb. I don't have the access panel in the wheel well, so I'm curious, do I have to pull the bumper or is there a easier way to change the bulbs?

You have to turn the wheels to give you more space, then you have to pull the inner fender back, and reach up behind the lights, there is a YouTube video
