Has anyone applied Update GM N25-F172AE yet?

This morning, an update notification showed up on my cell. When I opened the app, a button took me to this screen.
Has anyone else's app shown an Update GM N25-F172AE yet? Have you applied it? Any insights?

I just received notice of this update (GM N25-F172AE) via MyChevrolet but when I tried to install the system said it could not install it at this time. Is there a trick. I tried with the Equinox running and with the ignition off.

I haven't tried mine yet that is why I was asking here. Maybe someone else will come along and shine some light. Let me know if you find anything.
Once I try, I will let you know. My wife has the car tonight so it might be a couple of days.

Interesting. Nothing showing yet for my AWD RS. Reads like it’s necessary to enable future updates

I was shopping at Lowes home center yesterday and I received the update notification on the infotainment screen. It did not include a version. I told it to go ahead. The radio kept playing even with the engine off and the door open. I locked the car and went into Lowes. I got what I needed and when I returned the screen reported the install was complete. I tried a few screens but I didn't notice any changes. And no "universal remote" or "Surround vision recorder".

I received the upgrade notice yesterday during my trip from Delaware to Ohio. I selected the option to complete the upgrade around 2AM but it doesn't appear to happen. I manually completed the upgrade today. I didn't see any changes or new features. The myChevolet app does include a "Install History" page with the following description:

Great News! Your vehicle keeps getting better. This update contains a required software change to help improve the overall software update and diagnostics process.

My guess is this was an operating system level update to support new features. It could also include Linux/android security patches.

I did get access to the car this weekend, and the upgrade did apply—at least it told me it was successful. @PhillyPhan23, I, too, have not seen any difference. What you suggested makes sense.
I wish a website or something would tell us what the change was.

I believe this update was to correct a problem with over air downloads. It was killing batteries. I had mine updated at the dealer for something else and the battery was almost dead before it completed. They had to put a charger on it to complete it.

I installed the update yesterday and it took more like 5 minutes rather than the 15 minutes they said it might take. As I exited the vehicle I noticed the radio was still playing with the door opened. I closed the door and started the engine then shut it off and opened the door but this time the engine stopped. Maybe it was my imagination and the light wasn't on but it felt like the heated seats had come on. That's all I can say right now about the update.

I did it a short while ago. Do not notice any difference. Tried hey google for the first time & reply was it was offline. I asked why are you off line & the reply was I do my thinking in the cloud.....

I did the update last week without any problems. Not sure what the changes were, since I have only had my Equinox for 3 weeks.

Whenever I hit the google assist button on the steering wheel the chime is SUPER loud after the latest update. Anyone else experiencing this?

Yes - the Google voice was extra loud. Had to reset that volume after the upgrade. Elsewhere it's been reported that the update was to update the software update program. (I guess even the updater needs updating sometimes)
I don't think any new features were added. And yes, Still waiting for the Garage opener update.

I bought my 2025 Equinox in September without the garage door opener, but the Dealership added the garage door opener a couple of weeks ago and it works.

ewww- I was hoping it would be a WiFi update at home. Some of the people sitting in that gawdawful waiting room at the dealer look like they've been there since the last administration. Thanks for the update. Is that an on screen button you press to open the garage door?

FYI, this post is about a different update than the one for the garage door opener, and it can be done over the air. For the garage opener one, yes, it's an on screen button. I don't think it's supposed to take that long, but mine took over 6 hours at the dealer. I had to leave it there on a Saturday after waiting over 4 hours, then come back on Monday to pick it up. They said once they start it, it can't be stopped until finished.

AFAIK the garage door option can only be done at the dealer. Does take a couple hours.
