Guessing game. Possible fun discussion about damage

How much would it cost to repair this damage? I know there is no way to tell exactly how much but that's why they call it guessing.

My guess is about 7k if there's no frame or engine compartment damage.

It's being sold for $16900 with about 11K miles. I've never had a rebuilt car before. I have found out that insurance would be a little more expensive.

What is a rebuilt car? Cars are damaged and fixed all the time and have no effect on insurance. A "totaled" car is another issue.

My understanding is that the cost to repair exceeds a certain percentage of the cost of damage.

It's totaled. When you repair a totaled car in Pa you have to get a reconstructed title. It has to be inspected after the repairs to make sure it's road worthy again.
