1) Cooling louver replacement after a few months.

2) OnStar/ GPS module replacement. 7 months

3) Now at 1 year another CEL. Not clear if it’s cooling system again, brake assist system or both. Taking it in tomorrow.

20% worse fuel economy. Wished we’d never traded our 22 Premier.

I've heard it said that years back cars were built to go 100,000 miles. Now cars are built to survive warranty then start falling apart.

CEL went away and I’m 99% certain the louvers freeze in cold weather. I parked facing the sun yesterday and the light went out immediately.

They did a search for anything related to the brake assist system but found nothing.

They can be prone to icing up and freezing depending on the vehicle's specific usage. I believe the programming for them is such that they are allowed to fail several "self tests" before the MIL is lit, to accommodate for icing/freezing.

I've got ~7months of winter where I live. I've gotten lucky not experiencing any issues yet.

10,000 on my 2025 with only one issue. That communication module was a giant pain and I don't think the tech had any idea. It was replaced and has worked fine for 4 months. Two days ago it it gave me the dreaded CAN'T CONNECT MESSAGE. I called Onstar and during the call it worked as it should but I believe this module may also be flawed. Other than that I love this 25 and I had a 2014 and 2018. All reliable vehicles.

My Onstar issues started with the cold weather. I wonder if that has anything to do with some of the issues?
There's been some issues with the telematics module since 2022. It just stops which cuts off Onstar and many other features related to the internet connection. Mine was replaced at 15K miles. Works fine now.
