2010-2017 Equinox Terrain direct injection engines
Engines are machined and rebuilt using GM parts* including:
4 new updated GM pistons
Updated GM piston rings
Main bearings
Rod bearings
Polished crankshaft
Block machine honed
Refurbished cylinder head (valve job, valve guides, stem seals)
16 new valve lash adjusters (lifters)
Front & rear timing sets (guides, gears, tensioners, chains)
Water pump
Head gasket
Rear main seal
Front main seal
4 Iridium spark plugs
Thermostat
Valve cover gasket
Timing cover gasket
Dexcool
* If the core engine I rebuilt to replace yours had to be bored and needed oversized pistons and rings, they will not be GM, as they only offer standard size. Depending on availability, there are a couple aftermarket sources for pistons. For aftermarket rings, I always use Hastings.
$3500 includes keeping your old engine as a core (if core is too badly damaged there will be additional cost). Price also reflects reusing all existing accessories and sensors. If any need replaced there is no addition labor expense, just the cost of the part.
