EBCM Programming

Hi Guys,

DIY mechanic here. Wondering if I can program the EBCM on my own but cant find how its done. Any suggestions?

If you mean an Electronic Brake Control Module (EBCM) for your ABS system, I believe that is something that does not need programming. Now if you mean the body control module (BCM), then yes you need to have that programmed as you said. You need a high end scan tool like a Tech 2 or higher end Autel tool (bi-directional scan tool) to program it. There are places that sell a replacement BCM pre-programmed with your VIN so all you do is plug it in and it works (hopefully).
