Driveshaft length

I have an 05 equinox AWD and I removed driveshaft due to bad carrier bearing. I found a nice driveshaft from an 07 but I looked up the specs and it is longer? Anyone know if 05-07 are the same? And if not, why did they change the length?

i measured the 05. it is 88" long and has a 3.25" dia hub at the trans output. the 07 i measured is 86" long and has a 4.5" dia hub. the hub design is different in addition to being a larger dia. so, they are not interchangeable. i would assume the transaxle for the 05 is different then the 07. or at least the rear trans output section is different.
