Dealer recommends the following maintenance for my 2019 chevy equinox

Newbie poster. posting for a friend. Dealer wants to do the following
2019 Chevy Equinox 40K miles
Rear differential oil change
Complete transfer case fluid exchange and cleaning.
complete brake fluid change and cleaning
clean and desludge throttle body
Complete fuel injector cleaning
cabin air filter replacement
cost is over $1000
any recommendations, are these things that need to be done?

Find a better shop. Don't do maintenance at a dealership. Only use dealerships for warranty work and recalls. Cabin air filter is a five minute job anyone should be able to do themselves. Rear diff and transfer case are good ideas. Brake fluid is good idea to make brake parts and lines last longer. Find and independent mechanic and go by the owners manual. Or if you're looking for a project you could buy the tools and fluids and do it all yourself for a lot less money.

do you have to do this maintenance schedule to keep your warranty in effect? Does your manual say do this at 15k miles? 25k miles? And so on? Does it say change gear oil or just inspect it? Induction cleaning? That’s a wallet cleaning.

Call around and try to get it done cheaper because you are having alot done.

Any and all time/mile sensitive operations needed to be done on your vehicle can be done at any shop or by yourself if you are competent. Just keep receipts. As a mechanic, I can tell you 90% or more cars and trucks never have the gear oil in rear-end nor transfer case oil changed ever. I'm not saying it's not a good idea. brake fluid flush and clean is a good idea but again not done by most people. Cabin air filter you can change yourself in about 5-10 minutes for less than $50 usually way less. Oh and by the way I believe 40k is way too early for any of this except the cabin air filter. But check your owner's manual.

3-4qt jugs of Dexron lV $34 ea. =$102
2 qts 75-90 synthetic $18 ea = $36
1 qt valvoline transfer case fluid $13
Cabin filter $15-20
Air filter. $26
Total cost $150 give or take and it’s not a difficult job
