Can anybody tell me where the gateway network control module is located?

Im going through some issues. Im receiving codes on my scanner telling me that the data between computers is crap and found out there is a module that controls that. I wasn't able to find one new but I did find a used one. I plan on using my scan tool or a chevy dealer in another city to flash it. I just don't know where it is located on the car. Thanks in advance.

Suggesting you verify that it is the module if you haven't already. Have a look at the CAN network with a scope (can be borrowed or had for as little as $30) and isolate which module (there are going to be several) is bringing the network down. To program a used module you'll need a TDS account. Good luck.

Thanks for replying. How can I verify the module? The only reason I think it's the gateway network is one of the codes my scanner picked up as sending crap data was the pcm. I just bought a brand new pcm and had the local chevy dealer flash it. I plan to bring it to the same place

There are a lot of resources (YouTube for one) for troubleshooting CAN networks that also have a gateway module. A bad network connected module (could be any one of several), wiring, connectors all can contribute. A TDC (trouble diagnostic code) is not a parts list as I suspect you'll soon learn. You are up against a learning curve here and it could get costly. No code posted so all would be a guess. Just because a module is reporting bad data does not condemn the module necessarily. Best of luck in your pursuit.
