The connector where the oul cap screws in has broken away from the engine block causing a big oil leak. Can it be fixed?

It is always helpful to others to provide the year, make, model and engine type in a post requesting help.
The oil fill cap is mounted in the engine valve cover, not the engine block.
Go to a GM / Chevrolet dealer with your car’s VIN and have them look up the part. Having the VIN will ensure the correct part(s) are identified.
The oil fill neck and cap should be service separately from the valve cover. You can show the part’s employee the photo to help with part’s identification.
Like said, I believe that riser in the aluminum cam cover is replaceable.
