ambient temp display inop

i have had problems with the outside air temp display not working....finally found reason why...i had installed the after masrket
cable to disable the annoying engine stop feature when stopping the car....i removed the jumper cable and now the outside air
temp display works perfectly.

Have that cable installed on a '22 with no issue, how odd. What year was this on? Maybe just a bum adapter?

Others report no issue with those adapters. I don't use those adapters, so forgive this question if it is not possible - could it be installed backwards? Or do both ends have different connectors? Also, did you try 2 of the same brand? Perhaps the one you got is the issue.

I have a '24, with the jumper, and my ambient temp reading is accurate. I have not noticed any issues at all.

That is weird. I wouldn't have thought a 2024, basically being the same from 2018-2024 would be different. I do know we've seen reports of these bypass harnesses setting the check engine light on the latest gen 2025s.

In Chevy Traverse world, I know of one guy who had one harness set the CEL, but another one purchased from a different seller worked. AFAIK, they need to be set to a proper resistance value to do their thing properly.

I've had a $10 amazon bought version of this harness on my 2021 LT AWD 1.5T. No issues at all. I don't know if it would show something on a full official code scan, but with my reader, there's no codes and A/S/S stays deactivated.

Same here. AFAIK, no codes are being thrown... at least none that set off any check engine lights.
