For anyone wondering what GPS to go with, if you do not have the factory installed one, here is one that is a perfect fit for the 2014 Equinox with the center dash compartment.
The TomTom VIA 1405 M, fits in that compartment, when folded. Just place the plastic Disk with the double-sided tape just off center from the back, on the rubber pad (after thoroughly cleaning with alcohol). The 1405 fits perfectly, when not in use, fold it down and close the lid.
To use, just open the lid, place upright, input info and go.
The lid acts like a sun-shield.
