2024 Equinox with P129F Code

While traveling on the interstate at 70 mph, engine shut down. Info display said to put in neutral, restart & drive at slower speed. check engine light came on.

Received email stating a critical issue with Code P129F. FWD 1.5L with 34,600 miles.

Attached is the Chevrolet app info.

Anyone have this issue before?

Looks like P129F = Fuel Pump Driver Control Module Fuel Pump Speed Signal Incorrect.

Sounds like this is in regards to the controls for the electric fuel pump in the fuel tank. Broken or chewed wire? Bad module? Seems awful early for a corrosion issue, but you never know.

We've seen a few issues with the high pressure fuel pumps on the 2023+ LSD 1.5, but not with E-pump that feeds the HPFP.

Yeah but it seems way too soon for anything like this. We live in north MS & rarely travel outside southeast US.

Dealer is saying not to drive it. First told us to have it towed by OnStar. We don’t have OnStar. Then told us to contact GM. This sounds like it’s going to be a fun experience.
