If the knocking sound is coming from just one side, it may be a strut. Push the strut's accordion style cover upward to see if the rubber (not sure what it's called) isolator has fallen down. I agree it could be that, but it did it when I first drove it home. I had the Chevy dealer check it out during my first oil change, and they said nothing was wrong with the stabilizer or the struts?Ancient thread here, but 9x out of 10, that knocking you hear over bumps is a worn out stabilizer bar end link. Can be a simple and cheap DIY repair if you're up to it.
